Nestled in a residential neighborhood of the Victorian Port City of Manistee, Michigan, the Lady Jane Bed & Breakfast is walking distance to the downtown area with its well known river walk, quaint shops, restaurants and other points of interest.  While on the river walk, take time to watch the freighters navigate slowly through the channel.  The sandy beaches and beautiful sunsets of Lake Michigan are less than a mile away and the historical Ramsdell Theatre is at the end of the block with many live performances throughout the year.  The Lady Jane is a Dutch colonial home built in 1890.  The two inviting suites (the Corydon Suite and the Kennedy Suite) are each located on separate levels of the home allowing for a very spacious living area.  The main floor has many areas for guests to visit including a comfortable living room with a Victorian flavor.  The kitchen area provides complimentary beverages throughout the day including an afternoon snack.  A full breakfast is served in the formal dining room or out on the enclosed deck (weather permitting).  the deck also provides an area for guests to enjoy any time of the day.  Parking is provided behind the Lady Jane.

Yes, dreams DO come true!  I am tickled pink to announce the opening of the Lady Jane Bed & Breakfast, beginning June 2006.  This beautiful home became mine a year ago,  although the dream of having my own Bed & Breakfast has been a four of five year journey. When I laid eyes on this simply elegant home, I knew this was the perfect location for the Lady Jane.

A dental hygienist by profession, and with my two beautiful children grown and on their own, I have turned my focus to this new endeavor.  I have created a wonderful adult environment with personalized service for up to a total of six guests.  Manistee and the surrounding area have so much to offer with its beautiful beaches, historical buildings (did you know we have the oldest functioning fire station in the State of Michigan?)  and a multitude of activities to satisfy any interest. Please come visit our fun town.  I guarantee you will arrive as a guest, but you will leave as a friend.
